IMO, Musk is only battling himself. He actively does things that he says others should not do. For instance, if you criticize him on X, chances are you will get banned. He is in no way for free speech except if its his speech.

I suggest you do some research on Google Gemini because there are legitimate news outlets who have done some investigating and the truth is way weirder than it just making black nazis soldiers.

As far as my time in San Fran goes, it was really bizarre. I've been all over the US and simply ordering something when eating out would make people uncomfortable. went to a steak house and ordered something medium rare with the outside burnt black and when I said black my escort for the week whispered in my ear and said I couldn't describe things that way. Later I found out that ordering beef is fround on but the person who inwas there took me and some other people to a steak house. Why are we at a steak house then? It was also bizarre to me that the steakhouse had a vegan menu. It was at this point I was begging to go back to Utah because atleast the Mormons are nice people, they aren't pretentious enough to have vegan steakhouses. I really did love Arizona though, I can't wait to start my contract out there next year.

Careful here - the most anti-woke people are the biggest snowflakes evah.
Concern about how other people live , and what they do. Full of fear of the different.

Imposing and downgrading stuff to push an agenda is counterproductive . If makes the product less inviting. People of all shapes and sizes should have opportunities, but it should be more natural and organic.

That's why "positive discrimination" is mostly a good thing it done right . The dice have been heavily stacked in favour of say white rich kids in preppy/yankee states - a bit of cocaine at a party no problem , grades not good enough for Yale - no problem etc

Also commonsense is in short supply - don't identity with your birth sex . Then use/provide the private uni-sex restrooms etc
Easy to look at stupidity like full grown men with sexchange wanting to compete in woman's strength events .

But most of it is small beer, does have any real effect on your day to day live . people used to scream about what pervisons gays got up to in their bedrooms as consenting adults - Who cares .

Look, I say what is on my mind. Whether what I say is appropriate or not, you can rest assured that I am authentic in what I believe. Earlier I said that I feel like I'm being kicked out of the democratic party because I'm not liberal enough. I hold plenty of liberal ideals but I also hold some conservative ones.

And, certainly, I use internet short hand like "woke" but we live in a culture where we use internet shorthand and memes to communicate complex ideas

Yeahs it's nuance - I thought the liberal do-gooders at university in the 80's were full of it.
Spouting ACAB ( all coppers are B*******ds ) and all men are rapist , Whites were imperistitic pillagers etc - They were just spraying the flavour of the day . Same people claiming their school teachers and parents lied to them - yeah no s*** sherlock . I knew teachers pushed their own agenda since I was about eleven. mainly to make their lives easier or boost their egos

It just seems to me that people have hijacked liberalism and anytime I point it out people start to say I'm some kind of sheep for the other party. I'm not old, but I'm not young anymore, either. It's exhausting to deal with and my energy is better spent elsewhere

Elon Musk is a very complicated individual.He has rather right-wing politics, yet some very liberal and even some altruistic leanings. I would love to sit down with him and pick his brain, but doubt that will happen.

Well, my Prince, men have the right to, "pull up their pants and get the hell outta there". Whereas women OTOH, now have to live with their bad choices in men, and temporary lapses of of judgment.

Well, both parties have an extreme wing. From where I sit the left extreme is much preferable to the right extreme. Voting in the US has always only offered the choice between, "the lesser of two evils".

Politics in the US now only obeys Newtonian physics, "for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction . Compromise doesn't enter into the equation. :eek:

I could have settled the, "which bathroom am I allowed to use" issues long ago, simply by legislation requiring all public buildings to have three restrooms... SIC:

I can't wait for gender reveal parties to be made illegal because people aren't allowed to decide their gender until they're X years old. Or, in Canada where they've essentially removed parental rights under child abuse laws, can decode the gender of your child for you. But I guess I'm a conspiracy theorists Trump support for thinking that government overreach is wrong.

I think I might give myself an enima with 556 rounds because of how conservative I apparently I am

Bartie Musa - This is a careful balancing act because no company can survive without profit and fiduciary duty. On the other hand, Ai is a totally different realm with real consequences to humanity. Corporate social responsibility is an understatement in this case.

Helps to read the statement perhaps? He is complaining that they all said THIS effort was not to make a profit. He said nothing about their other work turning a profit (or not). So your narrative is completely wrong.

In the old days we just called these left-leaning people "communists" or "marxists" since there are complete books on marxist theory and practise to help define in anyone's mind what the terms mean; no need for a short definition in a dictionary.

Just like 'woke' was once just used to mean being civil and respectful but is apparently now somehow a potentially worse threat to society than something like a major outbreak of war or a pandemic or what have you.
